K-REACH: Data Requirements Reduction for Certain Chemicals

Beginning June 2018, South Korea plans to reduce the data requirements for 3 types of chemicals to ease the registration burden for industry. The data requirements for the 1st batch of 510 priority existing chemicals (PECs) will remain unchanged.

The move is part of MOE’s response to criticism from an industry facing heavy registration burdens. The proposal is expected to be effective from June 2018.
